DESIGN HOUSE is a private designer retreat in Namegawa, Saitama, built to let you switch off completely. Watch the forest and sky from the rooftop tent sauna, host a private screening in the home theater, or use the indoor garage as a gym or workspace. Sleeping up to 8, it suits family trips, group getaways, workations, birthdays and photoshoots alike.

Common questions before booking

Q. What are the check-in and check-out times?

A. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is by 10:00. Because group bookings often require longer cleaning, early check-in and late check-out are subject to limits — please contact us in advance.

Q. How do I use the rooftop sauna?

A. We provide a video and manual at check-in showing how to operate the tent sauna. Firewood and lounge chairs are included. Use may be restricted in heavy rain for safety.

Q. Is there an extra charge for BBQ or the home theater?

A. Use of the facilities is included in the room rate, with no extra charge. Please bring your own BBQ ingredients and firewood (the nearest supermarket is not within walking distance, so we recommend buying ahead).

Q. Is parking available?

A. Multiple free parking spaces are available on-site, including 1 indoor space in the garage.

Q. Can I bring my pet?

A. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept pets at this time.

Q. Can I use the house for a photoshoot or party?

A. The house is well-suited to photoshoots, birthdays and workations. Feel free to contact us about decoration or audio setup.
